In 2007, Cat and Vegas met in their college improv troupe, The Mixed Signals, at The College of New Jersey. In 2008, The Temple of Boom was founded in a friend’s basement as the duo made up silly new lyrics over Cat’s preexisting original music. Cat and Vegas are a professional improv comedy troupe performing for weddings, comedy rooms, and improv festivals like Toronto’s Big City Improv Fest, Philly’s Duofest, Washington D.C.’s District Improv Fest, Bethlehem’s Steelstacks, and NYC’s PIT Improv Fest. Beginning their residency in 2020, Cat and Vegas continue to headline every first Friday of every month at the L’Etage Theater for The Comedy Show Gates of Philadelphia. They are currently partnered with Long Branch Trolley of Monmouth County, NJ, singing on pristine Mr. Rogers-style trolleys for a very theatrical ride down the Jersey Shore. Get more information about the “Temple of Vroom” and reserve your trolley ticket by clicking the “Shows” tab.
Cat London is an improv comedian, actress, filmmaker, and singer/songwriter. After college improv, she performed in various long-form and short-form troupes like Shave and a Haircut, Bit Players of Newport, RI, and Howdy Stranger of Hackensack, NJ. In 2020, General Electric Lighting hired Cat to perform a 3-hour Facebook Live Creator’s Circle where she wrote 10+ comedic songs about light bulbs based on the audience’s one-word suggestions. In 2020, she graduated from the Advanced Study courses at the Upright Citizen’s Brigade Improv Theater of NYC.
Vegas Lancaster is an actor, improv and stand-up comedian. He has had the pleasure of opening for comedian Demetri Martin and is the regular host/creator of High Note Humor of New Jersey, curating special guest appearances and encouraging young comics to test new material. He began improvising with The Mixed Signals and later joined up as a long-time member of Philly improv troupe, The N Crowd.

Vegas Lancaster along with the lovely Cat London improvised some terrific tunes at L’Etage. I think my favorite song involved the gender specific terms for cake decorating: “caketer and caketress.” You are missing out if you haven’t seen their duo yet.
